Job Description:

Ardamas Fleet Services is seeking a Lead Diagnostic Diesel Technician to serve as the technical anchor of our Panama City operations. We are not looking for a general repair mechanic; we are seeking a specialist who excels in the analytical and electronic aspects of modern heavy-duty vehicle repair.

In this role, your primary responsibility is to identify the root cause of complex failures. You will be the first line of defense for electrical "ghosts," advanced aftertreatment issues, and sophisticated engine performance hurdles.

Primary Responsibilities

• Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform deep-dive diagnostics on engine, transmission, ABS, and chassis electronics.

• Aftertreatment Specialist: Master the complexities of DPF, SCR, and DOC systems to ensure fleet compliance and uptime.

• Data Analysis: Utilize OEM software to perform calibrations and logic-based fault tracing.

• Schematic Mastery: Interpret complex wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics to isolate faults before parts are replaced.

• Technical Leadership: Act as the internal subject matter expert, assisting other technicians with difficult diagnostic roadblocks.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of heavy-duty diesel experience, with a proven track record in a diagnostic-heavy environment.

• Logic-Driven Mindset: Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to troubleshooting (e.g., verifying power/ground, checking CAN bus integrity).

• Software Fluency: Expert-level proficiency with multiple OEM electronic service tools (EST).

• Precision: A commitment to "Fixed Right the First Time" over high-volume guesswork.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive Pay: $36.00 – $45.00 per hour (Base rate, commensurate with diagnostic expertise and certifications).
